Teacher Appreciation Day at NewBo City Market!

Join us to celebrate during National Teacher Appreciation Week! This is a a socially distanced, masked-up, limited-attendance event to wrap up the 2020-2021 school year! The event is Tuesday, May 4, from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. at NewBo City Market. It is also “May the 4th so there will be a Star Wars theme for the event!
We’ll have the La Reyna and Aroma food trucks on hand, serving up Mexican dishes and wood-fired pizza. (Yep, our treat!) Drinks will be available from NewBo Beer and Wine inside the market. Enjoy soft drinks or water — served in individual bottles and cans — or opt for one of the “May the 4th be with you” signature drinks: a Light Speed Pale Ale or a Leia-mosa. You may get your food and (non-alcoholic) drink to go, or sit at one of the many socially distanced tables on the patio, in the market yard, or inside the market’s Rotary Hall.
Stop by the Linn Area Credit Union table for a chance to win fantastic prizes! (May the 4th be with you!) Spin the wheel to win extra Teacher Bucks or a gift card. (Valid only in this galaxy.) You can also drop your ticket into a jar for a chance to win one of three super-cool Star Wars-themed Lego sets: a Darth Vader helmet, Luke Skywalker’s X-Wing fighter, or the Mandalorian’s Razor Crest. (You do NOT need to be present to win!)
Don’t forget to stock up on school supplies at the Teacher Store! We’ll give you five Teacher Bucks, just for dropping in. (Use them at the event or hold onto them for your next shopping trip!) Items will be placed on tables outside, so you may socially distance yourself while shopping in the open air. (Face coverings are required while shopping.)
Space is limited. We use Eventbrite to register attendees. You may RSVP for yourself only. If more people would like to come with you, they’ll have to RSVP individually. We’ll be gathering in shifts, so you can sign up for one of three time blocks during the event. Please plan to come and go during the time block so others can come in during their allotted time. There are a limited number of tickets available for each time block.
