Teacher Appreciation Day at NewBo
May 3, 2022 @ 4:00 pm - 6:30 pm
Get your kicks at our groovy Teacher Appreciation Day celebration!
Are you a K-12 teacher in a public or parochial school? Come hang loose at NewBo City Market for Teacher Appreciation Day on May 3 from 4 to 6:30pm! (There are three time blocks to choose from!) We’ll have the fab La Reyna, Aroma and Caribbean Kitchen food trucks on hand, serving up Mexican dishes, wood-fired pizza, and Caribbean cuisine. (On us, baby!) Drinks will be available from NewBo Beer and Wine inside the market. (We’ll provide two drink tickets… the rest is up to you.) Enjoy soft drinks or water — served in individual bottles and cans — or opt for wine or a brew or two. Our specials are Lemon Trail and Beatnik Sour from Exile Brewing Company. You may get your food and (non-alcoholic) drink to go, or chill with the other hippies at one of the tables on the patio, in the market yard, or inside the market’s Rotary Hall.
Stop by the slammin’ Linn Area Credit Union table for a chance to win! Drop your ticket into a jar for a chance to win one of three off-the-hook 70s-themed prizes. (You do NOT need to be present to win!)
- $100 gift card from the hip-stir restaurant in Marion
- 70s game night basket (valued at $100)
- Vinyl record player, along with a gift card to buy your favorite records (valued at $100)
Don’t forget to stock up on school supplies at the Teacher Store! Spin the wheel to see how many Teacher Bucks you’ll get. (Use ’em at the event or keep ’em for your next shopping trip!)

Here’s the skinny.
This is a private gig. NewBo City Market will be closed to the public.
We’ll be hangin’ in shifts, so you can sign up for one of three time blocks during the event. Please plan to show up and split during the time block so others can come in during their allotted time. There are a limited number of tickets available for each time block.
You may only reserve one ticket, so if you’d like to chillax with others from your school, please confab, decide on a time, and encourage everyone to sign up for the same time block.
